Privacy & Terms

Effective date: July 21, 2026 · TriPoint LLC (Colorado, USA) — also doing business as "Tripoint Manufacturing" and "TriPoint MFG"

The short version: TripointOS is a local-first platform — your projects, models, and data live on your own hardware. This website collects only what it needs to run: standard server logs, an optional account (Tripoint Hub login) if you create one, and the text of prompts you choose to send to TriAi, which we use to improve the model. We don't run third-party ads, we don't sell your data, and we never train on your private files.

Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website (tripointos.com), the TripointOS software, TriAi, the NP Engine, and BIM-AI are operated and published by TriPoint LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("TriPoint," "we," "us"). Contact: paul@tripointmfg.com.

Related properties have their own policies where their data practices differ: the online store at tripointmfg.com, TriPoint Academy at tripoint.academy, and Bim Gui at bimgui.com. BIM-AI, hosted on this domain, has its own terms at /bimai/legal/terms.html and privacy notes at /bimai/legal/privacy.html.

2. What we collect on this site

3. What we do NOT collect

4. The software's own telemetry: none

TripointOS images, the TriPoint Imager, and the desktop builds do not send analytics or telemetry to TriPoint. Optional network features you turn on (for example fleet updates you host, a TriAi server URL you configure, or the hosted Hub) transmit only what those features need to function, to the endpoint you configured.

5. Retention, security, and disclosure

Account and prompt data are kept while your account is active or while needed for model development, security, and legal compliance; you may request deletion at any time (see §7). Transport to this site uses HTTPS. We disclose information only to service providers that host our infrastructure, when required by law, to protect our rights or users, or with your permission. We do not sell personal information.

6. Children

This site and the Hub are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you (account records, prompts, support mail) by emailing paul@tripointmfg.com. We will honor requests as required by applicable law, including the Colorado Privacy Act where it applies, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising rights.

8. Changes

We will update the effective date above when this policy changes and will call out material changes on this page.

Terms of Use & End-User License Agreement

1. Acceptance

By using this website, creating a Hub account, or downloading, installing, flashing, or using TripointOS, the TriPoint Imager, TriAi, the NP Engine demos, or related TriPoint software (together, the "Software"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. The Software is licensed, not sold, by TriPoint LLC.

2. Test / pre-release status

TripointOS is currently distributed as test and evaluation software (alpha/beta images). It is under active development, may contain defects, and may change, break, or lose data at any time. Do not rely on it for production, safety-critical, medical, or life-support use.

3. License

TriPoint grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the Software on devices you own or control, for personal or internal business evaluation and use. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the Software or the TriAi model weights; use them to build a competing service; remove copyright, fingerprint, or license notices; or reverse engineer except where the law permits it notwithstanding this term. Third-party open-source components included with the Software remain under their own licenses, which control for those components.

4. Flashing and hardware risk

Writing OS images to storage media erases those media and, done incorrectly, can render devices unbootable. The Imager includes safety checks (system-disk refusal, read-back verification), but you are responsible for selecting the correct target device and backing up your data first. TriPoint is not responsible for lost data or damaged media, boards, or attached equipment.

5. Machine control — CNC, laser, printers, GPIO

TripointOS can drive physical equipment: CNC routers, laser modules, 3D printers, GPIO/electronics, and cameras. Software interlocks are a convenience, not a safety device. You are solely responsible for safe operation: guarding, eye protection, ventilation, fire watch, supervision of moving machinery and lasers, compliance with equipment manuals and local regulations, and never leaving running machines unattended. Class 4 laser modules can blind and burn instantly and ignite materials. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TriPoint disclaims liability for personal injury, fire, or property damage arising from equipment operated with or through the Software.

6. AI outputs

TriAi and other AI features (vision identification, pin-out detection, board diagnostics, generated news, study answers) produce machine-generated output that can be wrong, incomplete, or unsafe if followed blindly. Outputs are provided for general information only and are not professional engineering, electrical, medical, legal, or financial advice. Verify independently before acting — especially before touching mains wiring, gas appliances, vehicles, or industrial equipment.

7. Financial information

The Financial Hub displays public market data and clearly-labeled AI predictions for education and model-training purposes only. It is not investment advice, is not an offer or recommendation to buy or sell any security, and never places trades. Consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.

8. TriNews

TriNews stories are AI-generated summaries of publicly reported facts. Despite multi-source corroboration, errors are possible; stories are provided as-is and are not professional journalism, and TriPoint disclaims liability for reliance on them.

9. Your content and accounts

You own what you create with the Software. You are responsible for your account credentials and for anything uploaded under your account, and you agree not to use TriPoint services for unlawful purposes, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to breach or overload our systems. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

TripointOS, TriAi, the NP Engine, BIM-AI, Bim Gui, TriPoint Academy, and related names, logos, code, and model weights are the property of TriPoint LLC, protected by copyright and other laws. Autodesk, Revit, AutoCAD, Raspberry Pi, Apple, and other third-party marks belong to their owners; TriPoint products are independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those companies unless expressly stated.

11. Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability

THE SOFTWARE AND THIS SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIPOINT LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF WHAT YOU PAID TRIPOINT FOR THE ITEM GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Export and sanctions

You may not use or export the Software in violation of U.S. export laws, and you represent you are not in an embargoed country or on a U.S. restricted-parties list.

13. Governing law; disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you a mandatory right to another forum.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms; the effective date above will change and material updates will be noted on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
